Fresno Famous

Another long Lost Fresno landmark is the 'O Sole Mio Restaurant near Cedar and Shields. Visitors to this building will now find "Lao Cafe 2" which I'm sure has plenty of satisfied customers at their tables. But back in the day, you would find a very exclusive Italian Restaurant with plenty of Italian charm and two delightful tables on a raised platform next to the windows.

Although I remember a red brick exterior, gone is the round brass plaque the was embossed with the ‘O Sole Mio logo. Well OK, it was situated next to the Jack Lalane gym and was flanked by the “U Save” liquor store but Fresno has always seen an eclectic mixture of store fronts. Yes Fresno has changed but this little slice of heaven is sorely missed.
