Disclosure: My information come from two second-hand sources and has yet to be confirmed by either Tommy or Toshi, but ... someone broke into Tokyo Garden last week and stole its PA, computer system and karaoke machine, microphones, some cash and a few bottle of booze. Anyone who has seen the PA there wonders why anyone would waste the effort (no offense to Tokyo), but it's still a terrible thing to happen at a place that has been like a second home to so many of us in the (yet-to-be-named) district. The place does have insurance, but if anyone is interested in doing a fundraiser something, let me know. I am totally willing to help. Also: if anyone has any information other than my vague second-hand account, please share (or tell me I am wrong).

That's a shame. Some of the nicest people and best acoustics for an intimate room.
The stuff might show up somewhere. Let's keep our fingers crossed. A benefit would be awesome, and it would be so cool if we could raise enough to really upgrade to a better system.
