Part two of Valley Public Television's four-part series on the California Partnership for the San Joaquin Valley continues on Thursday, March 1, at 7 pm with "Health and Human Services." The Valley's burgeoning population has created a tremendous strain on health and human service resources. Budgets and personnel are strained to the limit while many Valley residents still fail to receive adequate care. This program examines how changes already implemented are helping to alter the landscape as well as other innovative reforms currently under consideration. A 30-minute roundtable discussion follows, hosted by Neil Koenig, PhD, and featuring Gail Marshall, associate editor, The Fresno Bee; Laurie Primavera, associate director, Central Valley Health Policy Institute; and Scott Pettygrove, deputy director, Merced County Health & Human Services Agency.
