Britney Spears may be famous for many good things, but she is also famous for many not so good things. And one of them is for being what happens when fame goes awry. Well, that is the reason Peter Reynosa has named  his poem that attacks fame after Britney Spears, which is called "The Tragedy of Lady Brittany Spires". The poem begins with these words: O what be this self-molesting lust for mobbish-orgy acclaim? What be our Leviathan of iniquities, this mud-god King Fame?  And the poem goes on to attack the idea of fame and what it is doing to our youth. This Lamia-goddess be  devouring our Spring-tide youth, though sacred childe not even be conscious to pitiable demise by crone of untruth. The poem is a four-stanza traditional poem that goes on to assail the tragedy of fame.

"It really focuses on  how fame is now one of our great evils", Reynosa said. "The poem does not attack Britney Spears in any way. Actually, she is not even mentioned in the poem.I named it after her because she is probably the most famous person for being hurt and violated by fame. I use old versions of her name to fit the traditional style of the poem."

The poem was written by him and a video and a reading of it was done by a British woman who has put it up on Youtube. "I think people will enjoy this poem. " Reynosa is a graduate of Fresno State.
