Some time ago, we posted about Paula Lloyd being awesome and how we wished somebody would do something cool in the old Liberty Theater on Van Ness. Well, it took a couple years, but somebody IS doing something cool there. Fresno State radio station, KFSR, to be exact.
They are having a creative fundraiser show for the station. They will be doing a "Fresno Grand Opry" night at the Liberty. An evening of local musicians playing music inspired by the Big Fresno Barn Dance and the Grand Old Opry. The whole thing will be broadcast live on KFSR 90.7 FM and will feature non-country Fresno bands playing music by artists like Willie Nelson, Conway Twittie, Patsy Cline, Loretta Lynn, Johnny Cash and more.
It goes down Saturday, May 14th from 7pm to 10. Tickets are $10 in advance, $15 at the door. All proceeds go to benefit KFSR.

Still time to be a sponsor on this event, if you're cool like that. Contact them on the event page or email Jamie for details.
Very excited to finally see what this historic Fresno theatre looks like inside ... and yeah, to hear top Fresno musicians playing outside of their comfort zone.
