There was a fender bender at Blackstone and Clinton at about 6pm on saturday. We were coming back from the grocery store and happened to pull up at the light just as the first paramedic started evaluating the driver's situation. It looked like a young woman, who was the driver of the car that was stalled in the lane and damaged needed medical attention as she was either breathing heavily or trembling. The medics were there and other medics were arriving as we waited at the red light.

"About 70 fender benders were reported in the Fresno area from 6 a.m. to 1 p.m., the California Highway Patrol said."

They said the plethora of fender benders were caused by people driving too fast in the heavy rain. The story also mentioned that the agricultural water allotments were being increased. You know when Westlands gets 10% more water we've had a substantial increase in rainfall/snowfall in the Sierra. But, it's weird to get so much right here in April. This precipitation usually falls earlier in the year, if at all.
