I have justified my insistence on driving everywhere by saying that I am too busy to wait for a bus or walk someplace and a bus probably doesn't go to the place I need to get to.
Recently, I put these assumptions to the test by going grocery shopping on the bus. The experience changed some of my assumptions, however I am not ready to make the switch to riding the bus just yet.
The trip took about an hour longer than it would have taken in a car and I am pretty sure that three drug deals were executed or attempted at the bus stop in Courthouse Park while I was waiting for the bus. Other than these problems, overall it was a positive experience.
