Downtown Easels, located at 2223 S. Van Ness, FresMayBe, CA, is now open for business.  "I make a variety of sizes and types of easels, from my smallest, only 36" tall, to ones large enough for the HUGE canvasses one of my other businesses, West Coast Canvasses makes!  They are all very strong and very sturdy, yet compact, as they come apart for easy transporting to art gigs in your vehicle."

While all of them are very reasonably priced, according to Purple Hat, his workhorse design, the "72" is available for rent for only $10 per art gig.  The "72" comes with 2 sets of cross bars and is painted black.

"I'm really high on my new '60', which while it is lighter, still holds either two smaller images/paintings, or one 30" x 40" or slightly larger piece of art.  The "60" comes with 2 sets of cross bars, and is only offered stained!  Right now you can buy it stained ebony, red, blue, yellow, PURPLE, and green.  I make custom stains for the colors blue, yellow, PURPLE, and green.  The price is only $50 + the governor, or 5 for $200 + the governor. 

According to Purple Hat, if you want something truly unique, mix together a blue and a purple one, or any of the colors.

"I have an idea for a very beautiful easel using my new stressed technique #1, with a mixture of stains.  For instance, I could, and probably will, stain some of the stressed areas one color, maybe black, and another my custom made blue, and another my custom made PURPLE.  Of course, some of those colors will blend together.  This will cost only a bit more."
