Note to I Bike Fresno (or the Pedal Junkies): We will never be a real biking community until we take part in the World Naked Bike Ride, an annual event where cyclists shed their spandex, or hipster skinny jeans and take to the streets in the buff. It's true. It happened this weekend. There are pictures.
According to organizer's (or at least the WNBR website) the event serves a dual purpose.
1.) It celebrates cycling AND the human body.
2.) Demonstrates the vulnerability of cyclists on the road.
I'll leave it to you to determine which of these is more important.
We missed being part of the first northern hemisphere ride, but it looks like there's another ride scheudled for July, you know, for those who are interested. And not afraid of being arrested.

Oh, there are nudie bike rides all of the time. Maybe NOT through that organization and maybe NOT here in Fresno, but they do happen. Note to Famous, if and when you go on one, just as you do to your pant leg, you may want to roll something else up so it doesn't get caught in the chain. Or not.
Oh my gawd!
