Fresno Famous

Kathy Griffin performed at the Saroyan Theatre on July 15th, 2011. The star of My Life on the D-List, Suddenly Susan, with numerous movie appearances and television cameos, put on a hilarious show in Downtown Fresno.  

Kathy was recently nominated for another Emmy award for her work on My Life on the D-List, and it easy to see why. Kathy's down to earth, "regular person" personality and quick wit make her likable and entertaining. Not a stranger to making enemies, Kathy shared some akward moments she has had running into Hollywood A-listers that she has made fun of. There is no shortage of A-Listers that Kathy has criticized many people, including Oprah.

Kathy Griffin has performed in Fresno before, she suggested that she uses Fresno as a city that she can try out new material in. Kathy will not be doing another season of D-List on Bravo, however she has agreed to do four comedy specials a year for Bravo. At Friday's show in Downtown Fresno, Kathy talked about spending time with her friend, Cher and the Casey Anthony trial. Overall, Kathy's comedy was very relevant and up to date.

sno residents to go backstage and meet Kathy. Kathy was very gracious and accommodating, taking pictures with Mike and I. She made us feel like she was an old friend, very comfortable. We are very grateful for the opportunity to meet Kathy. Coincidentally, Amanda, a fellow Fresno Blogger, who writes at http://humorandspice.blogspot.com/, also got to go back stage and meet Kathy. We also saw another fellow Fresno blogger, Veronica from www.ThatFresnoBlog.com. We always enjoy running into fellow Bloggers around town.  We look forward to Kathy's next trip to Fresno because we will definitely be there.
