While I disagree with much of what you've said in recent posts, by no means do I think you shouldn't be allowed to have a voice here.

Frankly, the more people post things that I disagree with, the more chances I get to show them how I think they're wrong, natch.

But I think this forum definitely needs to be less hostile when specific issues arise. Anger and lashing out don't work here. I, as well, have a personal site and it's a different atmosphere there. I post here differently than there and say things differently here than there.

No need for you to pack up and leave.

if there has been any comments that have asked you to leave, or said you don't belong here (on the site) i haven't seen them. but, i have noticed that several articles you posted earlier today are no longer here, so i don't know if you pulled them, if there was a long thread of unfortunate comments, if they were flagged as offensive, what.

i know i did ask you to focus your posts to the nature of the site. i also have a personal site. it ranges, and some material that i post here is cross posted there. but, i do try and stay within the intentions of the site.

please feel free to continue to post (not that it's my decision) stuff that is appropriate for the site.

MOI has had the pleasure of reading some very clever post on here. Have met some brilliant folks.

MOI has a very thick skin but have never thought of self as racist and it would seem that personal belief of current conditions with regard to illegals does not sit well with folks. At my age, it has become quite clear that mindset is one that comes from a different period of time, and to be true it is not bloody likely to change.

Having a website that affords the opportunity to bang on about issues that concern MOI and my stay in Fresno, is perhaps the proper forum for MOI to state views that may be unpopular and out of stated scheme of Fresno Famous.

The whole of my life has been devoted to being an active member of the community lived in and MOI lost sight of the light hearted nature of this site. One does not come here to get serious about some things that make Fresno, FRESNO.

MOI is not offended or feel the need to cut and run, rather to take opinions and views to a place better suited for them.

Life will go on and change will happen in due course on the road that MOI lives on. That is the way of the world.

MOI wishes all on Fresno Famous well and hope that all will know that seeing wrong and trying to right it, is not always in fashion, and since MOI lives in own skin sees clearly who that person is that makes MOI - MOI.

While I understand what you're trying to do here, it doesn't sit right with me. If you've offended someone, you shouldn't feel the need to simply walk away; most of us on here are adults and should be able to live with a difference of opinion. We should be able to take criticism from each other, gain new insights, and grow (even when it hurts a bit). If you've written beyond the intended confines of this site, that should be noted in a more personal and direct correspondence, not in public comments.
I don't think this is the kind of decision to put to a vote, and I can guess what kind of responses the post will elicit (OOTV's is positive, in comparison). That's my two cents; if I've learned anything about you from your posts, though, your mind is a hard one to change.

Well, Rob, I think you have just as much right as anyone else to post on the site.

With that freedom of expression comes other's freedoms to agree with you, debate, or tell you to go tickle yer backside with a feather... (I mean, fair's fair.)

-As for some of the rather peculiar (and sort of uncharacteristic) rehash of what can be found on CL R/R ---it begs the question 'why?' ---when your other work is usually so much more obviously 'you,' in character, tone, stance (etc. etc.)

-also?
there are some things that are just 'not suitable,' -even for fresnofamous.
(note: the word is 'things, (as in comments,) not 'people.')

it may have wandered into commentary that has come off as a bit too bitter, and bordering on racist (especially the recent shoot from the hip 'build a higher wall, round up all the illegals and send 'em back.' stuff)

I mean, seriously, --if we play that guitar string too much, the only ones 'rightfully,' here at all are native americans...

Which means:
I have to stand there and kick myself out, having had relatives who are both native americans AND mayflower passengers... (and that's just too hard to do before lunch.)
