Win passes to the Fresno Art Museum
Here is your chance to win passes to the Fresno Art Museum,... Enter Now
In case you didn't know, filmmakers Ridley Scott and Kevin McDonald are working on a feature film about one day on this planet. They asked people to film their day -- July 24, 2010 -- and upload them to youtube. Thousands (millions?) of entries are expected.
What we want to know is did YOU participate in this global task this past? If so, post your "Life In A Day" videos here! We want to see what your day in Fresno (or Clovis or madera or the surrounding Valley) was like.
Here's a video clip from CBS news (after the commercial) discussing the event:
10 Comment(s) for ""Life In A Day" -- Did anyone from the area participate?"
a "director's cut" version up soon.
The file got corrupted and won't play past the 2 minute mark.
::sigh::
I just got an email from the "Life In A Day" people (see the original post as to what Life In A Day is about). It looks like I may have my footage in the movie! Here's their note:
Hello!
Thanks for sending us your video for Life in a Day. We are delighted to tell you that your video has made it into the top 100 hours of footage that we are now considering for the movie. We can't guarantee that your video will make it into the final cut of the movie, but initially we like what we see!
......
That was followed by a lot of upload information, forms (releases) to fill out, etc. How exciting. As it states, there's no guarantee my footage will be used (it's only in the top 100 HOURS being considered...for a 90 minute movie)...but, if anything gets in, it will probably be of my sitting on the toilet--or when the decorative do-ma-hick-y popped off of the knob when I turned on the shower. (My 15 seconds of fame---and it's me taking a dump. O' the glamour! I KNEW I was destined for GREATNESS in this life! Ha!)
Can you give it another shot and do it again? I'd really like to see it.
Thanks!
So just 3 people participated??? That's ALL???
Hmmm...
These are from some local Fresno guy who apparently went to San Francisco and came back to town to see friends play:

There will be a "director's cut" out soon with more production elements.
Yes, "one guy in Clovis" DID participate (that would be me). I wasn't going to post it on here, but I've been "outed" apparently. Hmm. At least you posted the more tolerable version with music (the "official" entry has "real sound").
But where is YOUR video. In an earlier comment (which has since disappeared) here you said you HAD participated. I'd like to see that. I can't believe that in the half million people in Fresno, NO ONE did it. Or that I am the LONE participant from Clovis. Really? That just can't be.
One guy in Clovis participated that I know about

A lot of "life in a day" videos from California

Maybe all the Fresnans were at the coast cooling off?
And yes, I have posted comments and they never showed. I hope it works now.

NO ONE in Fresno (or the surrounding area) participated in the "Life In A Day" global project? REALLY??? Post your entry. We want to see what you did. (In case you tried earlier and had trouble, the comments are now working again).
THANKS!
