Sometimes the best way to get things done is to just throw a party and see who shows up.

That’s “It’s ALL Love” in a nutshell.

The event, 7 p.m. tomorrow at Fulton 55, is a DJ dance party/art show/social networking mixer that will draw together a large swath of Fresno artists, musicians and designers.

“Alcohol is best ingredient for bringing people together,” says Aren Hekimian, a local DJ who runs the artist management company IAN Group and helped set up the event.

“We’ve got some talented people in Fresno,” he says. And they’re doing awesome things. But often, there’s disconnect between the various groups. Anti-Labatories does most of the design work for the Fashawn.  Punit Dhesi does his videos. Ryan Jones just did some photos that will be used for a tshirt design. That's national-level work.

But musicians here maybe aren’t aware we’ve got top-notch photographers and designers and video guys. Here’s a chance for them to find out, to get together and share ideas and inspiration—and many have a drink or two.

But he’s just serving as a catalyst here. He’s reached out to various organizations—Creative Fresno, the SoulFlower GroupHide and Seek Gallery—to do the heavy lifting.  Hekimian hopes this will be the first in a series of monthly parties that will have a rotating cast of Djs and artists. It’ll be low key and cheap to get in — the $5 at the door with help pay the talent. Each month will feature a to-be-announced secret musical guest. We can’t say who’s playing this month, but here’s a hint: He’s playing Rock the Bells Festival on Saturday.
