SAN FRANCISCO, Calif. –– The weather's cooling off, the barbeques are humming and 21st Amendment Brewery is bringing the beer. Local Clovis resident Nico Freccia, co-founder of San Francisco's 21st Amendment Brewery, today announced the release of the brewery's two canned craft beers - Hell or High Watermelon Wheat Beer (rated “#1 Beer to Drink from a Can” and “Top Fruit Beer” by Draft magazine) and Brew Free! Or Die IPA (winner of multiple medals internationally) - in the metropolitan Fresno area. According to Freccia, “We Drink What We Can, We Can What We Drink!”

Freccia and Shaun O'Sullivan opened the bustling 21st Amendment Brewery in San Francisco's South of Market neighborhood almost ten years ago after meeting in a home-brew class. Their beers were so highly acclaimed that last year the duo decided to release their two most popular craft beers….in a can.

Why craft beer in a can? “Quite CAN-didly,” says Brewmaster and Chief Hop Head O'Sullivan, “Cans are simply better for the beer. They keep it fresher by protecting it from light, they fit the craft beer drinker's lifestyle by going places where glass just doesn't dare, and cans are better for the environment. They use less energy to produce and transport, and they get recycled more often than glass.”

Chief Watermelon Officer Freccia says, “Fresno is the ultimate outdoor lifestyle place. We've got incredible lakes, hiking, camping, golf. The CAN-cept of good craft beer in a can just fits here.”

Freccia notes that the brewery will be pouring their two beers at the Central Valley Brewfest in Fresno's Tower district on Sunday, September 27 from noon to 5:00 p.m.

Hell or High Watermelon Wheat is a classic American wheat beer that features fresh watermelon for a straw-colored, refreshing beer with a kiss of watermelon aroma and flavor. Brew Free! Or Die IPA starts with a sucker punch of six different hops to the nose, quickly balanced by a solid malt backbone. Both beers are now available in cans and on draft at better bars and stores in Fresno, and through Donaghy Distributing. About 21st Amendment Brewery
Who the heck are these guys? Hey, we're Nico & Shaun. We live for great beer. In 1920, there were thousands of breweries across America making unique hand-crafted beer. The passage of Prohibition wiped out this great culture. After thirteen years without beer, the states ratified the 21st Amendment, ending Prohibition in America. At the 21st Amendment Brewery, we celebrate the right to brew beer, the freedom to be innovative, and the obligation to have fun.
