British rock vocalist Marie Wilson joins Valley supergroup Rockville at the next installment of Music Under the Stars this Saturday night at Appellation California in Madera.
Opening is Roger Perry, arguably the most respected Valley musician of the past 30 years, with his band at the tasting room on Avenue 7, just 5 minutes north of Fresno.
ApCal has hosted the most-buzzed-about outdoor concers in the Valley over the past summer, and autumn in the vineyard is intoxicatingly lovely. With the advent of fall, ApCal continues its tradition of bringing the best in live entertainment to a relaxed, refreshing venue.
Wilson, a veteran of numerous U.K. bands and professional vocalist since age 16, brings her husky, melodic voice -- reminiscent of Dusty Springfield, Adele and Duffy - to Rockville's stellar lineup of the Valley's premiere classic rock/pop/R&B band with resulting irresistible musical alchemy. Rockville's lineup -- Vince Warner, Tony Craig, Don Ramirez, Dennis Moebes, Rich Graham and Mark Ribera -- are veterans of the most beloved bands in Valley history, including Aqua Bob, Contraband, Rapid Transit, Procession, Wild Hare, The Mockers, No Prisoners and more.
Cover for this exceptional show is just $5. Doors open at 7, music at 8. Bring your lawn chairs and blankets (limited seating available) and ice chests are allowed but please, no outside alcohol. Food and beverages, including wine and ice cold beer, available for purchase. 21 and over, please. And ApCal welcomes dogs on leashes.
