FRESNO,CA--Sunday, October 17th, at the Center for Spiritual Living, Fresno on 723 W. Clinton, Dr. William Larkin is speaking on: "The Neuro Science of Happiness and Joy." Thereafter he will conduct a class as a followup at the same location.

The speech will commence at 11 AM during the service and is open to the public.

Dr. William Larkin is a neuro scientist and member of Palm Springs Spiritual Center. Dr. Larkin states, “We make seven promises that can change your life, and we call this growth promises because we guarantee our work. You can raise your happiness set-point, you can raise your emotional set-point, you can become healthier, you can become more content and you can increase your life satisfaction and sense of well-being.”"We are culture driven by trying to change our weaknesses, when actually our weaknesses change very little over a lifetime. That window of change is only 3%, at the most 7%. In contrast, our ability to sustain an UpSpiral of positivity has a natural tendency to engage unique personal strengths which have infinite malleability, they can grow enormously, and when they do, they undo weaknesses, they heal weaknesses, and they manage weaknesses by creating new goals, person clarity and direction, vision and even revelation," contends Dr. Larkin. He believes that we would develop many more prodigies and geniuses if we focused on creating an UpSpiral of positive emotion and mood, rather than on "balance", "wholeness" and fixing weaknesses.

Dr. William Kent Larkin, educated at Yale University with a Doctorate from Harvard, is a researcher specializing in applied neuroscience integrating positive psychology and quantum physics. Dr. Larkin works in helping individuals and organizations create an UpSpiral, find their strengths and to build a central vision or aim based upon them.
