Week-night shows can leave you with some serious morning-after regret. But, here are a couple of shows that you should force yourself out to.
* Dave Alvin and the Guilty Ones, 9 p.m. tomorrow (Oct. 19) at Fulton 55. I don't know too terribly much about Dave Alvin, but he was in the Blasters. Rolling Stone calls him a roots-rock legend. I caught some of his stuff on KFCF right now and it got my interest up. So ...
* Wayne Hancock, Slim Chance and Motel Drive, 8 p.m., Thursday Oct. 27 at Audie's Olympic. This is a big score for Audie and the club. If you're at all into neo-classic country (that's a term I just come up with), this is seriously one of those shows you might kick yourself for missing.
