Brian Kenney Fresno's - Bragging & Complaining Tour 2007!
November 8th Club Fred Fresno
"Superhuman in my musical and performance skills, while modest, humble and affable personably, I represent a new model in the independent artist. Intellectual and musical inferiors, and those who feel threatened by sheer charisma and lifelong commitments to personal perfection may seek to discount my merits, while looking at their fat profit lines and the need for sameness, but they are false profits, and false prophets, and will never be accepted up into the Kingdom of Fresno" - Brian Kenney Fresno
Brian Kenney Fresno, has this super fun solo ROCK act where he sings modern TALES of urban legends and epics of the absurd - in a sing along format, mostly about Fresno, California, his home town, and every time he says "Fresno", everybody eats the raisins and says "WHOOO!" in a group experience. It's really fun! Everybody laughs a lot!
And - he plays a big giant super guitar that is bass and guitar at the same time, but it's easy for him- so it's fun for you! Amazing AND fun!
Kenney Fresno was one of the first musicians downloadable off of the Internet, when he played in the band E is for Elephant, but now, as he says, "the internet is filled with crap", and he is embarking on a national campaign to declare himself free of his longtime label Bonghit Records.
Says Fresno, "Bonghit Records has amounted to little more than 2 stoners, several computers, and a real CAN DO THAT tomorrow attitude."
"My show is so incredibly magical that it cannot be captured with recording devices- modern recordings are mostly so fake and doctored that they have no relation to an actual performance, and that is why I bring my show to the people, live in person, just me, kicking ass - my DVD's and CD's are all live, in an attempt to capture the uncapture-able."
Fresno has been touring nationally since 1999, and his show delights all!
He's opened at the Fillmore in San Francisco for such diverse acts as: They Might Be Giants, Judas Priest, Bela Fleck, Dio, Yngwie Malmsteen, Los Lobos, King Crimson, David Byrne, Keller Williams, Willie Nelson, Joe Satriani, Yonder Mountain String Band, Fantomas, Hella, Ozomatli, Calexico, Zak Wylde, Richard Thompson, Bob Weir's Ratdog, 2 consecutive New Years Eve's with Les Claypool bands, and more.
He plays punk and hip-hop shows.
Adored by children, respected by intellectuals, and dubbed Captain Kangaroo for drunks,
Brian Kenney Fresno takes on all opposing bands with Fresno tied around his neck.
