The Fresno Grand Opry plays two kinds of music: county and western. We're not talking the flashy add-a-fiddle-and-twang-and-call-it-country pop music you hear on commerical radio, either. We're talking roots music. The thing that came before the thing people are trying to sell as county music these days. If you remember, the played at the Liberty Theater (or the Hardy or the Mexico) in May. Well, the show is returning home for the holidays with a special showcase Saturday at the Rainbow Ballroom. This time around you'll get performances from the Mofo Party Band, Back to the Valley, Karen Marguth, David Aus & Friends, Reverend Shane & the Promise Breakers and special guests (FYI: I, along with singin' partner Jaime Holt, am one of those special guests).Read about the show here, check out this video from Back in the Valley and then get y'alls butts down to the Ballroom and whoop up it.
