To do: Hide and Seek
The pop-up show idea is great. It's totally underground. The gallery has no formal home, instead members show up at a venue, put stuff on the walls, host a one-day show and then disappear back into the art-world ether, or something.
Friday's show will feature work from 18 artists, including Josh Wigger, Ronald Dzerigian and Shannon Hunter (there's a full list on the flier). There will also be music from Niilo Smeds and Grand Canopy (Mike Adame, Fierce Creatures).
This is a cash-and-carry event. That means you can buys stuff right off the walls, which is really the only way to buy art. It's, "art you can afford by artists you love," Hunter says.
