Here's a fun game. Let's talk about all the cool stuff we got for Christmas. It IS the reason for the season after all (I am only joking. Mostly).

OK, I'll go first.

I got: A car stereo with a working tape deck. While that may seem like a terrible gift (I mean, a tape deck? In 2011?), it's actually exactly the thing I've been bitching about for at least a year and have been too cheap (and lazy) to go get, though it wouldn't have been that easy. Apparently there is only one company that makes tape decks and only in one model. Lucky for me, it works in a 1999 Ford Ranger. Yay! Now, I can enjoy the 20 or so cassettes I have tucked away in my glove compartment and under the seats. Oooh ... I can also have some drive time with Coattrack Records. 

So, thanks ma and pa for getting me such a thoughtful gift.
