Evenings of fun and joyful musicality await the faithful and unsuspecting patrons alike on Sundays in 2011 when Brian Kenney Fresno formally launches his Church of the Fresno Universal Nation (F.U.N.) at Audie’s Olympic Tavern on Sunday January 2nd at 5 PM. Brian Kenney Fresno summonses the sacred along with the scoundrel as he leads his uniquely worshipful sing-along songs celebrating the universality of all things fun and Fresno.

F.U.N. promotes the antithesis of piety, extols the virtues of non-denominational blasphemy, and draws a musical genealogy that confirms Fresno, California to be the Center of the Universe. Kenney Fresno offers this day of worship to the people of Fresno as a beacon of hope, laughter and tasteful debauchery as an escape from the treachery and hopelessness that can sometimes overwhelm the average citizen.

Armed with organic raisins, overhead projector, ozone generator and his giant 12-string super guitar, Kenney Fresno will create a sanctuary so divine, with an entertainment pull so great, that even Bud light cannot escape. This dark hole of entertaining holiness is so heavy that it ultimately collapses on itself, spewing the audience with the Essence of Fresno. A holy baptism has never been this enjoyable!

Kenney Fresno seeks tax exempt status for his new religion, and stresses the point endlessly, “If I just get 600,000 people in my cul- I mean religion I'm on easy street, and can just sit back during the week, do my sermon, play some tunes and collect money from all these suckers, I mean, parishioners tax free.”  

Audie’s Olympic is the launching point for this movement as it’s historic location embodies the spirit of F.U.N. in Fresno. The original Olympic Tavern was the first bar that little Brian Kenney Fresno performed in, and having hosted thousands of it’s celebratory residents over the years, maintains a shroud of holy mirth that blossoms ever forth.
