Kelley received her preliminary training at the Severance School of Dance where she studied with Margaret Hord, Jeanna Gailar, Carla Stallings-Lippert and Christopher and Francoise Doyle.
Kelley spent a number of summers training at some of the countries top ballet schools including Boston Ballet's Childrens summer owrkshop, the School of American Ballet and American Ballet Theatre.
After graduating from Bullard High in 1999 Kelley moved to Virginia where she spent two years as an apprentice with the Richmond Ballet. While in Richmond Ballet.
Kelley joined American Ballet Theatre's Studio Company in September 2001 and became an apprentice with the main company in October of the same year. She joined American Ballet Theatre as a member of the corps de ballet in August 2002.
