I'm really excited about this weekend, another one full of stress, music, driving and surviving.

Everything kicks off with a Saturday morning performance at The Ahwahnee hotel in Yosemite Valley. I will be giving a concert series at The Ahwahnee hotel throughout the summer featuring me playing jazz. I wrote alot of this music when I first broke out as a soloist and I used to play alot at Fagan's(remember that?)...buts its a nice opposite from my rock band, and a good chance to polish my chops.

From Yosemite, I'm shooting right back to Fresno for a photoshoot that will help promote my upcoming show at The Visalia Fox Theater May 31st. We had a crazy successfull show at The Cellar Door a couple months ago, and if this is any indication of how its gonna be..We are going to rock Visalia Fox. One things for sure, Visalians support and love their music!

After the photoshoot, I run over to a rehearsal with my band "Patrick Contreras and The American Gypsy Experience" for our show at The Babylon. This show is a fundraiser The Undercurrent. They've gathered all kinds of great Fresno Bands for this show, and I think its the largest I've seen in a while..they must be stressed.haha! The Undercurrent has supported me more than money can pay for, and I'm honored to be able to give back.

Buuut before Babylon, I will be making a guest appearance with DB and The Struggle at The Crossroads. If you've never heard this group, they are a delightful surprise. A good mix of latin/reggae/funk/ska/hip-hop..and .hey..they play in tune! This is my second appearance in a week at Crossraods, we hosted a show there this past monday for CInco De Mayo..I had no idea that was gonna be so packed..we had a blast, and I'm still recovering! here's a few pics from the show:

I'm on the prowl again playing more Mother's day parties than I can remember all the way from Madera to Fresno to Sanger, and of course a Special violin solo for my own mother!!
