Don’t be intimidated by www.TheAmericanMakeover.com makeover competition. The concept is simple. Create a great makeover and make your client feel good when they leave your chair. Start with a style that they can work with. There is nothing worse than getting a makeover and not being able to maintain the hot new look. Next, determine the color, cut, and style of your makeover. Don’t forget the makeup because when you change hair color, you need to look at your makeup colors to make sure your hair and makeup complement each other. When creating your makeover, color is great to use and cut is certain but some clients will only want style and that is okay, just make them look great. This is a learning experience and an opportunity for you to showcase your work.
Remember to take pictures all month long and submit your best makeover before and after photos at the end of the month. This competition was created for you, the cosmetology student, so show us what you got and be proud to be a future professional.
