The future, now!

I ran across this Web site this morning and I must say: Sweetness.
I'm usually not an early adopter, but if even half of what they're suggesting makes it into a production vehicle, I'd think hard about buying.
Now, if they could make only it fly...
Thanks to Jamie.

re: ZAP
I like some of the Xebra stuff as well. One of the problems with a lot of these newer technologies into the market is finding the right combination of efficiency and price. A large part of getting alternatively powered vehicles out is getting them to travel long enough. The Aptera in particular has caught a lot of attention because tests show that the hyrbid model can get you 600 miles on a full charge and 2 gallons of gas. This allows you to travel farther without the concern of how or where you're going to charge your vehicle.
It's a personal thing, but I can't justify spending $11K on a vehicle that can only get me 40 miles on a charge. If I lived somewhere that had everything a little more central, I could handle that.
I can't wait to see some more of these technologies advance, and once that Aptera comes out and I see some safety tests on it, you may see me driving around the Valley in one!
ZAP has few ideas
Zero Air Pollution already has a city car

and several other ideas in the pipeline. They also have a relationship with Youngman Automotive of China and have revived the 100 year old Detroit-Electric Brand name for their cars.
