So, River Park...about that train...

I love the idea of a train, but:
PLEASE tell me that you plan to expand it's "track" as soon as the new buildings are finished...
As of right now, it is a 4 1/2 minute ride that departs, circles, and ends right in front of the movie theater!!!
For a dollar?!? Come on.
Let's at least make it a ten minute ride that goes through and AROUND the mall...That'd be nice.
Or maybe you could add one or two more trains and have them stop at the big "box stores" so that patrons could use them to travel back to their cars, or to other stores...as they might be enticed to shop at stores they wouldn't have noticed on their walk or drive.
Now, I know that we are not Destin, FL, but the Destin Commons have a train that takes people to and from their cars, drops them off at shops, AND IT'S FREE (drivers likely to get tips)!!!
Hey, since we're (fresno) in the business of copying people anyway, maybe this will be one of those things that the community will let you get away with ;-)

The Pedi Cabs are back...
I'm glad they weren't taken away for good (If they ever really left, I don't visit that much).
Those guys are great...and the service works well with the new REI.
LOL @ the Fresno Bee article stating that people were asking what "ree" is. Maan, we ARE out of the loop. I've known that for a while with our fashion and music selections, but it's funny to see that we are lacking in so many other areas...
Every new thing matters in Fresno, because it's new to us and it'll probably be the only one of it's kind for quite a while.

You know what...
I guess they did get rid of the pedi cabs for the train.
That's kind of sad... but, I think that the Shuttle Bugz service is more fitting downtown anyway. People want to get somewhere downtown, while they just want to look around, shop, and eat at River Park.
River Park is a train kinda place, If they would just do it right.

With REI coming in, wouldnt you think they'd want to look more bike friendly?
I want the Pedi Cabs. I like that they arent using fuel to haul the shoppers around. PLUS.. the Pedi cab guys are pretty darned nice to look at.
River Park is just giving me more and more reason to not shop there.
