but take big pride in what we do. We strive for the best in all we do and what we have to offer shows it.
Announcing the Grand Opening of Café Corazón. Next Saturday, Dec 8th, from Noon to 4pm we'll be having a live Mariachi, Mariachi Alas Del Cielo.(may have a DJ) Come on down to 1145 Fulton Mall. About 4 doors south of the Guarantee Savings Building. Free parking on the weekends!
Haven't even had time to make up some flyers! We've been that busy.
We are now open at 8am Saturdays and Sundays and closing late. Can't say how late cause people seem to keep trickling in little by little, last weekend we shut the doors at around 6 or so. Me and Liz will be there to make you the best Fresh Espresso you can get in town.
During the week daily we offer different soups and sandwich specials for all the local people working downtown. Fresh roasted brewed coffee. Have a few minutes? Ask for a brew by the cup or a French Press. The Espresso is the best you can get in town, no burn flavor in our Espressos and coffees. We have fresh baked pastries daily. These cinnamon rolls and brownies will make you remember the day you first tried one at Café Corazón. We've seen enough faces light up to know you'll keep coming back for more.
We're open daily from 6:30am to 3:00pm. We'll probably be extending those hours soon as well. Look for us in the 7 section of the Fresno Bee tomorrow.

Just a reminder that we'll be haiving our grand opening tomorrow from noon to 4pm. Mariachi Alas Del Cielo will be performing from 1 to 2pm. Special guest DJ will be spinning eclectic beats and south american lounge.
We'll be up late tonight, probably all night as usual, gearing up. We'll be offering buy a coffee and refill with any of our different coffees for free. We'll also be sampling lots of our freshly baked goodies.
Hope to see you all there!

cafe corazon!
Good luck Alien!! Can't wait to get down there.
Saturday morning
I hit up Cafe Carazon Saturday morning and the place is a keeper. It's walkable from my house, the Coffee was great and when we came in they were playing Interpol on the stereo. So...
Go!
Thanks
Thanks fez, we'll donate a pot of coffee to the clean up cause no problem. Muster up at Café Corazón and go from there. I keep meaning to post a pic I took last week. (you know, no time) One of my late night trips through the mall had me discover a crew of 2 guys who's job it was to steam clean the concrete walkway of the mall. I had even been thinking of just paying a service to do our storefront. Seeing this cleanup being done gave me a good feeling.
Thanks press. All the local support makes us feel good. I'll second the notion of lighting being needed. The kind of lights they have at the moment just don't cut it. Sure it's lit, but not lit well enough I feel. It is not welcoming at night. We need string lights a la Olive/Tower District at the very least. I know that's an easy low budget fix and that little goes a long way.
Thanks Patrick!

Lights
I hear there are a couple of downtown "groups" looking into better lighting for the mall.
Actually Dawn from Milano's fame, was telling me the other day there were people putting lights up in the trees. I may have to go down there at night one of these evenings and see what they look like. There is also a "holiday tree" type thing in the middle of the mall on the clock tower. I've seen that from the intersection of Fresno and Fulton.
Now that I think about it Milano has live music tonight, I'll check it out then.
I second that...
I rode through the mall (it was a funeral, we were on bicycles, somehow we didn't get stopped, go figger,)
The fountains looked great!
(No signs of that nastiness that used to be there.)
Now ---Perhaps some lighting?
(Hey, it's getting near Christmas time --even little white twinkly lights, (okay, a lot of little white twinkly lights,) ---would really add to the atmosphere.
-If you've not had this guys coffe, -you can drink it straight, black, with no sugar,
--and it actually is not bitter, has really nice finish,
--and packs a whallop..!
Yep, pretty much all of Cafe' Corazon's coffees are as smooth as Leo's hairstyle...
;)
!!Cafe Corazon!!
Leo, just wanted to second that motion on the cinnamon rolls, they are delicious! The Mexican Mocha was also very good.
Hey fezgurl, if you want any help on the grassroots clean up make sure to post it here. Although being a regular on the mall, I have to say the city has been doing a much better job of cleaning the flower beds and the fountains. Hope they keep up the good work!
!!Cafe Corazon!!
congratulations Liz & Leo!!
make some magic on that mall!!
if you need anything, let us know...Yoshi NOW! is your friend and neighbor.
