MaRooooo is a great place. Good food and atmosphere and Korean beer....which is nothing special...but it's from Korea so its like exotic and stuff.
The Mexican place in the corner (Rosa Linda's) is good too. Except the inside atmosphere is too bright and you're basically hanging with the staff, which is cool sometimes and annoying others.

Ed, I like Podcast Pickle okay...it's kind of a cheesy design for a website but it works and all. The only problem is I can't embed a player for a specfic episode so that listeners can just play an individual show-you can only embed the full player. Odeo.com used to have individual show players but they don't updated their feeds anymore, which basically means they've shut down.
I haven't tried Podbean before but it looks like the same thing as Pickle and Podcast Alley. Podshow.com does it a little different, kinda like myspace for podcasters, but I don't use it very much.
As far as starting a podcast, GO FOR IT, I'm sure you'll be better at it than me. Just make sure you start it with a completely different blog/feed than your normal blog.
