Bryan Pickens was born in 1974 in California and has led a life driven by his unique creativity. He has pursued his love of art all the way through school, completing a Bachelor’s Degree in Fine Arts and Communication Design from Chico State University.

His unique style of painting is about color and emotion. His pieces are eerily moving, symbolic representations of either people he has known, or simply a nameless face that has intrigued him. The large 6ft. portrait paintings stare directly into your eyes, and demand your attention. Bryan's work depicts a perspective on the human element that is often camouflaged in today's society. By contrasting the beauty of nature with the darkness of humanity, the subjects seem to be trapped in a dreamlike state that is peaceful but unsettling.

Bryan’s artwork has been shown locally and across the country, including paintings recently published in the "Worlds Greatest Erotic Art of Today" coffee table book of 2007 and 2008. In March 2008 the painting Red Nude 2, will begin its journey to New York, Miami, LA, London and Amsterdam in the Erotic Signature Art Show.
