Trigger Happy

The Officer might have been trigger happy. Did anyone ever think of that? The student needed to be in a psych facility and not on campus. He was a danger to self and others. Can you say 5150? The officer could have died at the scene. The taser gun might not have worked. The other officer chickened out and called 911. The whole situtation was mishandled. The bottom line though is that if the officer felt his life was in jeopardy, he had a right to defend himself. Many people have been hit over the head with police batons which are heavier and in those cases they cannot fight back or more charges are filed against them. The force of the blow is what is in question. If it was a white rich kid from Clovis, the kid would still be alive because the officer would have wrestled with him instead. This is a case of Fear of the Hispanic or as Geraldo Rivera calls it, "HisPANIC". The history of Blacks being racist towards Hispanics continues.
