Two interesting gig-o-roo’s coming ‘round
the bend this weekend. It swings from hotcha cha to mom’s apple pie...from Ginger to Mary Ann....
(and that’s not counting Saturday’s burlesque show).
1) Saturday, Dec.13th.
I’m guesting on theremin.
It’s a variety show featuring the music of
Suicide Lounge, the comedy of Jaguar Bennet,
burlesque dancers, and a bit that includes a
dramatic Christmas reading accompanied by myself on theremin and the lovely Lauri Jones on beatnik bongos.
As Jaguar puts it:
“Hot burlesque dancing ... comedy ... music ... theremin ... Esperanto!
Come to the show, and make this year the merriest Christmas/Hanukkah/
R'as as-Sana/Kwanzaa/Festivus ever!”
time: 8pm cost: $12 ($9 if you’re dressed ‘swanky’)

2) Sunday, Dec. 14
We’re playing a Toys for Tots benefit in the parking lot between Hooters and Marie Calendars (for reals, that wasn‘t a metaphor)..
It’s called Rock the Lot and includes us:
Blake Jones & the Trike Shop at 2pm.
Music starts around 11am and goes through the
afternoon and features local bands all day including:
Monkey Wrench and local bluesman/ guitar-slinger A.C. Myles.
It’s free (hey, it’s in the parking lot), but the idea is to encourage people to come out, listen to bands,
and drop of a toy for the kids.
Where? It’s across the street from Riverpark.
