Free Artwork Evaluations at California Arts Academy
September ArtHop at Severance featuring local artist Teresa Flores

California Arts Academy will be hosting an Art Studio open house, and parents are invited to bring in their children’s artwork for a free evaluation by local artist Teresa Flores. Ms. Flores has recently joined the teaching staff at California Arts Academy, and will be teaching classes in art with an emphasis on drawing and painting.

There will be two opportunities for parents and children, and hopeful artists of any age, to show their work, meet Ms. Flores, see the facilities, and perhaps try out a new art project! Teresa Flores will be in residence on Tuesday, September 2nd, from 5:00-8:00pm at California Arts Academy on Blackstone, and Thursday, September 4th, from 5:00-8:00pm (coinciding with ArtHop) at California Arts Academy – Severance on Wishon.

Teresa M. Flores graduated from California State University Fresno with a BA in Art and an emphasis in Drawing and Painting. Her work has been shown at The Tower Theatre, Fresno Art Museum, The Rogue Festival, Fresno City College, CSU Fresno and in various studios for ArtHop. Teresa is a member of the Fresno Filmmakers Forum Committee, and was commissioned to film a documentary short at CSU Fresno. She enjoys the visual arts as well as dance. She is excited to begin teaching classes at California Arts Academy this fall, where students will be introduced to the fundamentals of drawing, sketching and painting.
