Mike Oz over at the Beehive has done a good job of keeping the Fresno blogsphere on full Sammy Hagar alert.
Now we get word from the man that he'll be in town Oct. 28 and 29.
While I'm not so excited by this, I'm sure there are TONS of people in town who are and this is awesome for them (and, by proxy, for Fresno). The thing I find totally impressive is it's FREE (I know, right??!!) on a first-come-first served basis.
Yes, its ensures the place will be packed all night long, but the guy could do that and still charge $50 if he wanted, right?

I still wonder why there isn't a Cabo Wabo-ing in SF or LA. I wonder what makes Fresno better, or is that the catch?
Either way, rock n roll is cool. Even if I don't like it, it's a source of something different. So that's cool.

But when Sammy drops $$ in Fresno to do this..Well its not Donald Trump doing that.

Wow big deal, washed up Sammy Hagar arrives in town and we all swoon and go eat his crappy overpriced food. I think the bigger news was that Jon Voight was in town yesterday pushing for John McSame! Or should I refer to him as Action 30 News does..."Angelina Jolie's Father", not his real name.

Not really a fan of "The Red Rocker" but it's a sweet deal for those that like his music. And like you said a free show will definitely have the place packed all night.
Free is good....
He should charge like $3 and donate it all to a local charity or something. But naw, it's cool that he's doing a free show, though. But I'm just not into dude's music but for the fans this is awesome!
