From time to time we receive random stuff from people looking for publicity. Such is the case with Random Obsessions, by author Nick Belardes. He's a historian/journalist/blogger/etc. He's also from Bakersfield, but let's not hold that against him.

Here's the deal. If any of you would like a crack at the book to do a quick review, it's all yours. If you find it (and Belardes) really interesting, we can even try to arrange an interview. How about that? Community journalism in action? We shall see.
