So after a long weekend of Crazy Rock Star Debauchery, like losing my keys in a hollywood hotel and partying on the city bus, and breaking up marriages(see fresnobeehive.com for the story!) I return to Fresno for some shows!

on Friday Night! my band will perform for "Fresno State Night" at the Movies in the Park series located in Eaton Plaza downtown. This should be a good time actually..Mento Buru(bako-band) has invited me to play with them for The Vibe...so as soon as were done with "movies in the park"..I will take my evilness two blocks away to "the vibe" and play with Ska/rock/reggae/latin band Mento Buru.

ok...saturday begins with our band(the patrick contreras band) headlining the Donaghy Inc and Engelmann Cellars' Brewfest 2008. The Festival will be in the Parking Lot right behind the Tower Theater and Sequioa Brewing Company! get there early! this is going to be packed! So Drink beer and listen to violin....two things that have gone together since the 1200's. we play from 3-5 pm.

if this is not your thing...join me as I play with Lance Canales from 7-8:30 at The Fresno State Satellite union for the Peace and Dignity Tour. This is a fundraiser for a group of indians that run from Central america to Alaska once every four years. This is an amazing feat that takes 6 months, but also requires...uhhh..money!!! so come out and support!

I used to sneak in here when I was 15 and try to play along with the rock bands...i was laughed at and made fun of for bring my violin....many many many many many...many.....many many.....many times. its ok..I earned my stripes to get made fun of some more for playing the violin..many many ..many times.

If you don't like my band!! awesome...then you need to go to The Smog City Roller Girls Sadie Hawkins Party at Club Fred's! Saturday Night...what a cool idea, and I wish I could be there..

also, go see 40 watt hype at Arte Americas this Friday Night...they are and awesome band and if you haven't heard them...please please do your ears a favor and go!

aslo, HateFX is playing at The Babylon. If metal is your thing...this is in my opinion..the band to see in Fresno. They treated me pretty douchy when i tried to talk to them and be nice...maybe you'll have better luck. regardless...the music is good

..ok..also..go to Full Circle Brewing Friday night to see Tale End with Scats on The Sly...should be a dope show and full circle has great beer

also...what the F(*&(*k is up with Veni Vidi Vici's giving me the cold shoulder for like...5 months...I've been trying to book a show there..and its impossible! what the hell...also..sequoia brewing tower...same deal...i guess we don't enough beach boys covers to get in?
