For those of you who sent kind words regarding the very
first FUSE Festival (seems like it was a long time ago, but it’s been
less than three months.), take heart;
the first steps of planning the next one are underway.
Matt Schwartz, with his infectious combination of practical sense and
over-the-top dreaming, the beloved Downtown Abe , the super-powered
Famous Whitewater, and myself
( I was there mostly to check out the chicken wings since there was so
much discussion about them on the fresnobeehive)
met downtown at Heros to debrief re: FUSE #1
and start the dreaming-up of FUSE #2.
The good news is:
enthusiasm is high,
hopes for significantly raising
the number of venues,
bands
and pedicab transporters
are high.
The other good news is:
You, oh FresnoFamous readers, will have the opportunity to hop on the FUSE train (in fact we need you to do so)
and make a significant mark on this growing event that we hope will leave
a lasting mark on our downtown and our local music scene.
Sign up before you’re drafted!
Discolures:
The chicken wings were fine and dandy, but when it comes to appetizers,
I think I’m more of a sweet potato fries or bread and butter (like in the Italian restaurants) guy.
