ROOSEVELT HIGH SCHOOL OF THE ARTS PRESENTS
“EPIC PROPORTIONS”
By Larry Coen & David Crane
A Funny Thing Happened on the way to the Forum meets The Ten Commandments. The Book of Exodus was never like this!
Epic Proportions, set deep in the Arizona desert and in the midst of the Great Depression, chronicles the hilarious calamities that befall an increasingly desperate film company while filming a Biblical epic named EXEUNT OMNES -- which might be loosely translated as EVERYBODY OUT -- by an eccentric and notoriously reclusive Hollywood director. Epic Proportions tells the story of two brothers, Benny and Phil, who go to the Arizona desert to be extras in the huge Biblical epic and through a series of unforeseen events, Phil ends up directing the movie and Benny becomes its star. Then they both fall in love with the same woman. Witty, campy and lots of fun.
