There's all sorts of stuff I'm excited about right now.
By date:
Today: The Informers opens. And it's in town.
Tomorrow: Debts to Society is having a grand-opening party from noon to 6 p.m. If the place is a hit (and it should be) it could go a long way to revitalizing that block of Chinatown, which also houses the CYC.
Creative Fresno's is hosting its annual Meeting of the Minds and board elections. If you are a member, vote for me. If not, become a member and vote for whomever you like.
Sunday, April 26: It's Dollar Punk Night at Audie's. One dollar to get in. One dollar! Even in this crap economy, even if you're unemployed, you've got no excuses. In fact, hit me up, I'll give your four quarters.
Friday, May 8: The Miller Brothers will be signing books at the Fig Garden Bookstore from 5 to 7 p.m. This is big time. You might remember the Miller Brother spoke at the Fresno Filmmakers Conference early this year. They're famous for ambushing Ed Harris and convincing him to star in their movie.
