Here's some news, Fresnan, former KSEE 24 cameraman and current NPR reporter and percussionist Felix Contreras sent me this interesting email:
Hola,
Our humble Washington DC-based Latin jazz band, AfroBop Alliance, was nominated this week for a Latin Grammy in the Latin Jazz category.
We are one of five finalists for the Latin Grammy which will be awarded in November.
We are all still in shock.
We now have to start shopping for gowns.

Local boy makes very good. Hope him and his crew win. But of course, it's a honor just to be nominated, I'm sure.
