Fresno Famous RIP

fresno famous is broken, In the past I would contact Jarah, and she would contact her web designer and the problem would be fixed with in a day. But now I'm unheard and nothing happens.
I guess I should just say, RIP Fresno Famous 2004-2007 Blogging web sites come and they go, and I did have a feeling that once the bee owned this place that it would be run in to the ground, or change completely.
Oh, where is that super web designer who can save this site?

RIP
oh my somebody did find jumper cables for this, huh.
It's interesting and a testimony as to how long a period of time, ---of only a few months or a year can be in cyber-life.
Is FresFam dead?
Apparently not.
(I'm glad.)
Has it changed.
Yep-Sure.
(I'm glad there too.)
Did I like the old version?
Yep. lots.
Do I like the newer one?
I'm learning to work with it... So it's one of those
'with change comes... change.'
sort of brilliant insights.
What I'm seeing is:
New faces,
perhaps NOT the brisk happy little pirhanna feeding pond of subjects and 'buzz,' all the time.
---But,
considering that there has been a lot of changing (format and such.)
THAT may also be good...
(Sort of:
'--Okay, lets let the throngs go do what they do elsewhere and spin off to their own things, (all the while dropping in once in a while to say 'hi.')
--Meanwhile?
'We have to work bugs out, get people used to the difference of things, rest up, reload, and shake-down the motors...'
stuff like that.
The biggest litmus test? (for me.)
To see if this was really based upon personality of only a couple of folks (Jarah as origin,)
---and those who were part of the 'original,' cast.
(I want to say it's like the members of the first season of SNL
---(which, the funny part is? alot of folks who use FresFam may not even know what SNL stands for... (NOR who the orig. castmembers were...)
--Does it matter that folks don't realize the close proximity of 'Fernwood Tonight,' 'Kids in the Hall,' 'Mary Hartman, Mary Hartman,' 'Gong Show,' ---or even John Stewarts orig time slot???
-to appreciate SNL?
(perhaps, perhaps not.)
It gets even better.
-the first season was real hit-and-miss.
Some of the stuff just tanked.
-Yet, looking back?
It was all 'hysterical.'
The upside?
There's 'classic' Fresno Famous and the conversations and events that buzzed around all over the place that was quite the powerful storm (
not sure if it was a class two, three, four, --or 'hold onto your britches mable,')
What's interesting is the following:
-there was a definite cast of characters
-people reacted and identified with those characters
-they moved on to other things
-people freaked and stated that they'd keep the flags flying (as well as in some case flipped the bird at the founders for leaving.)
-A LOT of folks took ownership of the thing (thinking that they were the first season cast... (which, if it were true? There would be ten times the members.)
----Which is also good in a way, as it cemented things that deeply 'I was there,' (maybe you really weren't, --but something about this caused that deep a sentiment.)
And it was declared 'dead,' when the founders left...
But it didn't die.
McGlatchy didn't kill it.
It's not run by a pack of monkey's who don't know what they're doing...
I like that...
Will it be like SNL and wander around drooling,
only funny every once in a while, and standing like a testament to euthanasia of ancient comedy programs (maybe) being the kindest choice?
You know what?
I don't think so...
Nature abhors a vacuum.
And with the folks moving on, new folks, (or old folks who never left,) are still creating...
(which begs the quesion
'..hey, lets make this thing really big, really huge, and go monster.'
-or simply
'...lets just do good stuff... big or small, lets just do good, -regardless.'
I'm seeing the latter here.
I like that too...
And,
---this side of time?
I'll state it plain:
You couldn't pay me to be Josh Tehee.
The man took the helm of something that was run by a charasmatic leader in a town that is near sociopathic in it's demand for devotion...
(I've known others who were 'leaving,' the FresFam fold who were afraid of letting that get out, ---because of what others would think.)
To step in and take this place over (and) make changes to keep it living and creative???
(amidst the pressures from all sides?)
HUGE BALLS.
Like,
HUGE
TITANIUM
BALLS.
--I've yet to meet Josh in person,
but I'll know it's him walking up
-by this unassuming smiling gentleman who both shows and warrants a lot of respect,
---(if only by the clanging.)
(A bunch of old guys sitting on a bench'll be there going:
--'...Hmmm, church bells... Don't recall them before, --nor that loud...'
Nope
It's just fresFam and Yosh,
---living way past his declared expiration date...
(...punk.)
--meant in the kindest possible reference.
Godspeed you black emperor...
I'm pretty sure this post refers to times past—it'ss pretty old, and the latest comment was posted back in January. How did it end up in the "Recent Posts" list?
Well...
I am sorry you feel that way. You can always message me or this guy directly and we'll try to fix whatever problems. It might take more than a day, but ...
Appliance Parts Spam
http://www.fresnofamous.com/search/node/Appliance+Parts
I'm talking about the Appliance Parts Spam... it's has nothing to do with anything on Fresno Famous.
I dunno...
I found the pest control posts to be quite insightful, and the products used for ant and roach control to be quite tastey on toasted sourdough,
(...and it added a nice wave to my chesthairs...)
anti
i remember that jarah had tried it that way @ one point, essentially no guest comments. but, in looking @ most of the recent spams, they have to be people because they're somewhat relevant to the original post, yet contain some spurious business link.
but i agree that it's been a bit of an annoyance lately to filter through comments.
make Captcha work correctly or ban anonymous comments
it's seems that Spamming Fresno famous is getting popular, I've noticed the 'Appliance comments' being posted by people who are not logged in, it should be required that any comment or posting on here should be be registered users.
