Fresno gets Punk'd

some joker punk'd the city of Fresno on Wiki; check below;

Fresno (pronounced /ˈfrɛzno/) is a city in California, USA, the county seat of Fresno County. As of February 27, 2009, the population was estimated at 500,017,[5] making it the fifth largest city in California and the 36th largest in the nation. Fresno is located in the center of the wide San Joaquin Valley of Central California, approximately 200 miles (322 km) north of Los Angeles and 170 miles (274 km) south of the state capital, Sacramento. The city is part of the Fresno-Clovis metropolitan area, which, with a population of 1,002,046, is the second largest metropolitan area in the Central Valley after Sacramento. The name Fresno is the Spanish language word for the ash tree and an ash leaf is featured on its flag. The city itself has the unfortunate distinction of being known as the "Methamphetamine capital" of the USA, with research suggesting that up to half of Fresno's population is addicted to the drug. This has inevitably also led to large increases in unemployment and homelessness. In addition, one of the side effects of meth is rampant, permissive and unbridled sexual activity, and many of Fresno's women are consequently mothers to large numbers of children by many different fathers, thus perpetuating and amplifying the cycle. A renegade group of local politicians proposed in April 2008, that a 'meth pipe' replace the ash leaf on the city's flag. The proposal has not yet been voted upon, as of August 2009. Fresno is almost entirely dysfunctional within the constraints of what one would normally view as a contemporary urban society.

Whats the problem?

I don't see where any of the statistics are incorrect. I find it to be an evenhanded and sober estimation of the people of the greater Fresno metropolitan area. I would assume that the gentleman who brought these truths to light is a local history professor or other doctorate holding academic.

It's good to see our town coming to grips with the truth.

Go Fresno! Go METH!
