May 16th to be Declared “DriveHealthy Day” in Fresno: FREE Family-Friendly Event Offers Bike Giveaways, Food, Entertainment & More!
The Bureau of Automotive Repair (BAR) is hosting a fun, family-friendly community event aimed at teaching families, drivers and drivers-to-be about the cost saving and environmental benefits of proper car maintenance. The event will officially be kicked off at 11 a.m. with a “green” ribbon-cutting and official proclamation declaring Saturday, May 16, 2009 as “DriveHealthy Day” in Fresno and Fresno County. This free event will feature a bicycle giveaway every 20 minutes, contests, games and prizes for adults and kids, music, food, informational and educational booths, hybrid and “green” car displays and more. BAR representatives will be on site to demonstrate easy vehicle maintenance tips that can save Valley residents money.
