More beer in the Tower

I've been wishing for someplace new to go to in the neighborhood, but the only new stuff that seems to open is more tattoo shops... So now the Wizard's Pub is here, on Van Ness just north of Fred's- it's the latest incarnation of the head shop/hookah bar run by Bill Gomes. They sell cheap drafts and have some bottled beer too. I've been in a couple of times- the music tends toward old metal and so-called "classic" rock. They're still working on the décor, and have a few kinks to work out, like blasting the tunes way above the level of normal conversation, but I've enjoyed hanging out there, and hope Bill has success.
