Presidential hopeful John McCain will be in Fresno for a town-hall meeting on Monday. Doors open at 8 a.m. at Fresno State's Satellite Student Union for anyone who wants to hear the ol' bugger rattle on about whatever it is presidential hopefuls rattle on about.
I'm being flippant, and I shouldn't. It's nice to see Fresno getting some love from the candidates, and I'm suprised I haven't seen more about this.
Rob just make sure you put up big red arrows
that say "DRUG HOUSE" and are pointing at the drug houses before McCain and the Secret Service show up. That should freak out the druggies. Would also make good press coverage McCain tours slumlord drug houses with Nieghborhood Revitilization Champion.
You'd get more response from the Secret Service then from Big Chief Jerry. I wonder how much of his nephews business comes from your street? He will be out in 9 months anyway and back in business.

MOI is a cheeky bugger, and has written to GOP and asked the Senator to stop by Calaveras for a cuppa.
For shame, Joshua, Fresno can use all of the visits it can get from folks running for office. The old bugger, was a POW for 7 years and suffered much for his country. That he honours us with a visit it lovely, regardless of his desire to become the next President of the United States.
Senator McCain might not stop by and this old geezer has so much to do that MOI can not go and hear him talk. MOI is still right proud that Fresno got him to call on us.
I used to like McCain after his position on campaign finance and other issues that struck at the heart of corruption in government. The Straight Talk Express was apt because he held truth above the Party Line. But my impression now is he has lowered his truth threshold to accommodate his Party's wishes and that makes him look compromised in my eyes. I would like to think that underneath it all he still is that
honest guy and that this new found
toe-the-party-line talk is just baloney so he can convince the Right-Wing he is indeed a Republican.
