The Oscars sort of suck: And more from the rumor mill

Another rant: It is OK that I don't like the Oscars? Again, I'll give the Beehive its live blogging, cause that's what they are supposed to do, I guess. But is all this coverage too much. Doesn't all this "you're so good," "no, you're so good," no, you're the best actor ever," stuff make you kinda sick? It's not like these guys are making art or anything. There, I said it. Maybe I just hate movies.

On a side note: The Bee's "Word on the Street," has it that Teazer is going to open downtown in the next couple weeks. Now, we said that a while back. But on the News Blog, they ask the very real question can it last downtown. They actually said something about getting enough customers, but whatever.

If anyone can make a business work downtown it's Ann. She has a solid idea of her product (and how to sell it), has little or no direct competition downtown (especially by keeping weekend and longer weeknight hours) and isn't afraid to stick it out for awhile if things don't go so great. I say it'll do fine.

The Oscars are the Superbowl

The Oscars are the Superbowl for women. It's mostly about clothes, hair and makeup. And blowing smoke up those famous, rich asses. Although, I did watch a few minutes here and there and I am interested in who won in which category. And, who is dominant
in terms of show-biz pizazz - Brad and Angelina.

censorship on the beehive

Dear Famous Guest (aka chris),

Please know that it wasn't censorship. It was an oversight. And your commenting here has allowed me to correct it.

But you know what? I don't need drama in my blogger-commenter relationships. So, if you don't want to post anymore on The Beehive, you'll be missed.

-Will

It's okay to thank that...

I think it myself... and to help the rumor mill really get cracka-lackin, I wonder why the Beehive decided to censor my comment about the police presence at the Mardi Gras parade yesterday? It's not like it was inflammatory or anything, just an observation.

And yet they chose to censor it. Henceforth, I'm not ever posting on their page again...
