PBS fans LOVE some Stevie Wonder
Last night I did my duty as a Creative Fresno board member and showed up to man (sexist I know) the phone bank during KVPT's membership drive.
I was told we looked great by The Fresnan, who was watching and called in. He's now an official member.
Aside from having a really good time (who knew answering phones could be so fun), I took in close to $1,000 in pledges. At first I felt pretty good about the whole thing. Then I realized I was just (un)hired help. Stevie Wonder was the real draw. PBS folks LOVE them some Stevie. One woman almost cut the pledge short cause she didn't want to miss the show.
