"What is Pecha Kucha Night?" you may ask.

Pecha Kucha Night (http://www.pecha-kucha.org) , was conceived in 2003 as a place for designers to meet, network, and show their work in Tokyo. The key to Pecha Kucha Night is its patented system for avoiding long winded designers. Each presenter is allowed 20 images, each shown for 20 seconds each – giving 6 minutes 40 seconds of fame before the next presenter is up. This keeps presentations concise, the interest level up, and gives more people the chance to show.

Pecha Kucha (Japanese for the sound of conversation) has tapped into a demand for a forum in which creative work can be easily and informally shown. This is a global demand – as Pecha Kucha Night, has spread across the world to its 156th city, Fresno.

Come join the conversation with Creative Fresno, December 15th 20:20 at the Starline. If you have design work that you would like to show, please email me at kiel@creativefresno.com . I need your 20 slides/images by December 12th.

"What kind of design work is applicable?" you ask.

We are working from that premise that almost everything we interact with is designed. Everything Under the Sun, Everything Under Design.

So we want to see: Graphic Design, Fashion Design, Product Design, Photography, Architecture, Landscape Architecture, Art, etc. The only requirement is that your slides be visual and not a bunch of text. Remember each slide only shows for 20 seconds.

And if you don't have the courage to present this time come on out on the 15th and see what its like so your ready for the next one.

This is another effort by Creative Fresno to improve Fresno's environment for creative professional.
