LOL @ Matt. To bad a condom didn't hit you in the eye!

Central Aquatics

Far from free but very fun, the Central Aquatics Complex at Central High in SW Fresno is really fun for all ages.

I couldnt' find a good link with pictures; it's actually worth the price because they have a "beach" pool area with shallow water and some splash equipment and the tame water slides at the north end of the complex.

15 Pools

that's still a low number.

john... excellent post

I always wondered what the deal was with the public pools...

may have to risk a harpoon and wander over and go ker-schwimmt.

There are more than 9, but still not enough...

only 9 public pools?! We need more Pools!

this is sad for an area that annually gets over 100 degrees every year.

If these pools are gross maybe it's because there are over 10,000 of thousands of people for each pool, but if you factored out the people with private pools, it's might be more like 1,000's of people per public pool.

We need more Pools! Where does the mayor live send the kids to swim in his pool. (does he have one?)

have fun traumatizing your daughter for life, lol. 20 years later i still hate going swimming because my parents would take me to the reedley pool when i was little. all i remember is coming up out of the water always covered in hair and used bandaids. so gross.
