San Joaquin Valley Jazz Festival & David Binney Quartet Concert
On February 6 and 7 2009, Paul Lucckesi & Buchanan High School will host the 21st Annual San Joaquin Valley Jazz Festival! This Festival has grown over the years to become a major attraction for school jazz performers, jazz clinics and jazz concerts. This year's festival will feature 50 of the top middle and high school jazz bands from throughout California. The festival judges are some of the finest jazz musicians and educators in the nation.
The two day festival will feature noon concerts on both Friday and Saturday, and new this year, an evening concert at the new state of the art Paul Shaghoian Concert Hall featuring our guest artists, The David Binney Quartet. The festival will conclude Saturday afternoon with performances by Breubeck Institute Quintet. See sjvjf.net for more details
